Hambledon Vineyard
A testament to ingenuity and quality, Hambledon is England’s oldest commercial vineyard. Hambledon comprises more than 200 acres of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier grape vines set against the tranquil Hampshire countryside.
A working vineyard producing renowned English sparkling wine, the vineyard maintains a strong relationship with the Pol Roger Champagne House in France. The vineyard’s state-of-the-art facility includes cellars and a ‘Tasting Room’, which is equipped with business presentation essentials, and the perfect backdrop for meetings and team-building wine tasting events.
Delegates have the chance to make and package their own bottle of Hambledon sparkling wine to take away.
Venue capacity: 50 seated; 70 standing reception
Hospital of St Cross
The Hospital of St Cross is a collection of beautiful Grade II listed buildings, including a Norman Church, an Almshouse and other medieval buildings dating from 1132.
Set within its own gardens, the site is nestled near the banks of the River Itchen and is surrounded by water meadows, ancient woodland and grasslands. There are two immaculately maintained gardens on the property: the Compton Garden and the Master’s Garden – which, together with its Bowling Green, can occasionally be booked for private events.
There are two characterful buildings available for seminars and events, including the atmospheric Hundred Men’s Hall and the rustic centuries old Bretheren’s Hall. The site has often been used as a film location and featured extensively in the BBC mini-series, Wolf Hall.
As the venue is home to 25 Brothers, belonging to two charitable foundations, events must be arranged so as not to intrude on their way of life.
Venue capacity: 60 seated, 100 standing
The Grange Hampshire
With a Neo-Classical mansion offering a blend of impeccable architectural style and faded elegance, The Grange Hampshire also encompasses an auditorium, its own vineyard – Burges Field — producing sparkling wine, the Abbotstone eight-bedroom house and converted barn, holiday cottages, and a campsite, not to mention CIRCO 600 acres of water meadows, lakes, woodland, and fields.
The Grange has played host to guests including Winston Churchill and Hollywood Director Baz Luhrmann during the filming of his H&M/Erdem collaboration film.
With its multitude of event spaces, The Grange is one of the most versatile venues in Winchester, and provides a distinctive location for product launches, corporate conferences – in-person and hybrid, corporate summer parties, team-building events, awaydays or private dinners.
Venue capacity: Up to 570 seated in the auditorium; flexible spaces
