CELEBRATING A 50TH BIRTHDAY – NOT ONCE BUT TWICE IN SURREY
Whilst Covid-19 means that many events have been unable to take place, we’ve still been able to realise the dreams and desires of some clients. And for one in particular, restrictions on the permissible size of gatherings proved to be an unexpected opportunity.
The Solution
Our client, who was originally planning to celebrate her 50th birthday with a big party for family and friends, realised that the guest list would have to be significantly reduced to conform with government guidelines. It was an impossible task so, given that the party was to take place in the garden of her Surrey home, the solution soon became apparent – throw two smaller parties! Held on two consecutive days, it meant she could invite 30 guests to each party and no one had to miss out.
We created safely spaced clusters of seating to ensure adherence with Covid-19 guidance and, as night fell, the stunning lighting scheme, complete with charming hanging lanterns and open fires, transformed the beautiful garden area into a perfect party space. Guests feasted on a sumptuous Brazilian Churrasco, with drinks served from an outdoors bar. Background music added to the ambience and, despite the necessary restrictions, there was a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere that everyone enjoyed.
